It's Arai's opinion that sun-visors that are between the helmets outer and inner shell could affect the performance of the helmet during impact. As the Pro Shade is completely mounted on the outside of the helmet, it won't negatively affect the performance of the helmet. The Pro Shade is a peak that locks into position. To unlock is easy by pulling the shade peak forward. It can be flipped down with a flick of the hand, to perform as an effective sun-visor. The Pro Shade offers protection against sun glare, fogging and misting.
